Are blogs still a thing?

I thought I might start a blog. Then I remembered that I did that a few years ago. So rather than start over, I decided to dust this one off. So if you happen to stumble across this and wonder why there’s such a big time gap between that last post in 2013 and this one in 2020, in the midst of the global Covid-19 pandemic, that’s why. Sort of. I guess that’s not really an explanation. But it’s how I tend to roll.

I get excited about something, dive in, work on it for a while, and often just move on. Maybe come back to it later. That’s why I have drawers full of yarn in a spare bedroom. I was into knitting for a while. I haven’t done any knitting in quite some time. But I might go back to it, so the yarn — most of it skeins from other used-to-be knitters that got passed on to me when I was into it — sticks around.

Sometimes a hobby or past time or passion sticks. Sometimes it drifts in and out. Sometimes it remains as just a fond memory with a few mementos lingering. Like a lot of things in life, I guess. Like some people.

Anyway, yes, it’s been a while. Maybe it will stick this time.
